Who this is for

This page is for Porsche owners entering the Judged class at the Arizona Region concours, and for owners of Display cars who want the paint to hold up on a front lawn full of other Porsches. Prep for a judged Porsche starts with what the paint can safely take, which depends on the car's model year and repaint history.

  • The organizer's listing describes a Porsche-only show on the Front Lawn, with Judged and Display categories open to all Porsche types and years. The Zone 8 concours classification rules are linked from the listing.
  • Cars are parked on grass and arranged by Division, with large shade tents set up for participants and spectators. Awards cover Concours Divisions and Classes plus Junior's Choice, People's Choice and Chairman's Choice, called by PCA National emcee Mark Shevitz.
  • Entry is listed at $55 for Judged and $35 for Display, and registration closes at 8:00 am on October 30, 2026, so the entry decision and the prep booking land in the same few weeks.
Timing

Preparing for Phoenix Flight 48 Concours d'Elegance

  1. Through October 23, 2026

Send photos and your goals through the contact form and ask for an in-person paint assessment. Thickness readings decide how much correction the clear coat can take.

  2. Week of October 26

Discuss drop-off for a car that needs correction and coating together. Drop-off and collection are coordinated per car, and the work is scheduled around studio availability.

  3. Friday, October 30

Registration closes at 8:00 am. Decide Judged or Display before then, since the entry fee differs.

  4. Before show weekend

Plan to have the car home and garaged ahead of November 7. Correction and coating are scheduled around the studio calendar, so no collection date is fixed in advance.

  5. Saturday, November 7, show day

Check the arrival and staging time in your entry confirmation. Cars are parked on the grass of the Front Lawn, with shade tents set up for participants and spectators, and the show runs 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Studio drop-off

We coordinate studio drop-off and pickup with you and share the address before arrival. Please arrange a ride, as there is no waiting area.

Services

The work that fits this event

  • Clear coat thickness varies by model year and repaint history, so the paint thickness gauge comes first and correction depth follows what the readings allow. On a recent car, Paint Enhancement or 1-Step Correction is often the right scope, available at the studio or at an approved mobile address.
  • A Porsche entered in the Judged class may be an original-paint air-cooled car parked on the lawn beside current models. On original paint, AB inspects and measures first, and some patina is appropriate for a car judged on originality.
  • A professional ceramic coating is a studio service, applied after correction, which makes it the longest booking on this page. Coating maintenance stays at the studio too. A Complete Detail covers interior, exterior and engine bay.

Paint Correction

Paint Enhancement improves gloss with very light correction. 1-Step, 2-Step and Show Correction treat heavier defects at each step up. AB assesses the finish in person before quoting. Enhancement and 1-Step are available mobile or at the studio. 2-Step and Show Correction need controlled conditions.

Ceramic Coating

Professional ceramic coating is done at our North Phoenix studio: paint preparation, coating application and a controlled cure. AB assesses your paint before quoting. Choose a 2-to-3-year coating or a 5-year coating; for a lighter, 1-year option that can be done at your home, see Express Ceramic.

Complete Detail

A Complete Detail covers the vehicle inside and out: washing, chemical and mechanical decontamination, engine bay, steam and extraction, and exterior protection. AB does the work personally, at your home as mobile detailing or at our North Phoenix studio.

Headlight Restoration

Headlight Restoration treats yellowing and haze on the outer lens through staged sanding and polishing, followed by UV-stable ceramic protection. AB performs the service mobile or at our North Phoenix studio for $99 per pair, after confirming that surface restoration suits the lens condition.
