11 Mile Detail Co prepares hot rods, customs, classics and restomods ahead of the Goodguys Southwest Nationals, held November 20–22, 2026 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. AB does the work personally at a private studio in far North Phoenix, by appointment, and slots are limited, so book early. With the show opening Friday, November 20, October is the inspection and booking window for multi-day correction and coating.

Who this is for
This page is for owners of street rods, customs, muscle cars, classics and restomods entering the Southwest Nationals. The show is built around vehicles from 1999 and older, and Goodguys lists over 3,000 of them. Sunday admits American-made or powered cars of any year, so the field includes everything from original-paint survivors to fresh builds.
- The Goodguys listing sets the show at vehicles from 1999 and older, covering hot rods, trucks, customs, muscle cars and classics, with Sunday's All American day open to American-made or powered cars of any year.
- Gates run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, with cars on the field for those hours.
- The Southwest Nationals includes a Cars 4 Sale Corral and a swap meet, so a number of cars on the field are there to be looked over by buyers.
Preparing for Goodguys 29th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals
October 2026
Request an inspection. AB checks the paint, measures film thickness and tells you what correction is appropriate before any polish touches the car. Original paint is assessed for preservation first.
By late October
Book Show Correction or a studio coating if you want one. Both are multi-day studio services, and AB does every one personally, so only a few fit before the third weekend of November.
By mid-October for fresh paint
If the car is still fresh from the paint shop, bring it in for assessment by mid-October so AB can advise on cure timing before the show.
The week before November 20
Schedule a Complete Detail for the final pass: engine bay, wheel wells, glass and interior. Plan to collect the car within a few days of the show date.
Studio drop-off
We coordinate studio drop-off and pickup with you and share the address before arrival. Please arrange a ride, as there is no waiting area.
The work that fits this event
- Hot rods at this show range from fresh paint to older lacquer and single-stage finishes, and AB treats each differently after measuring film thickness. 2-Step and Show Correction are studio services; Paint Enhancement and 1-Step Correction can be done at an approved mobile address by request.
- A ceramic coating is installed by AB at the studio over multiple days and needs lead time before the show. It does not make a car scratch-proof.
- Pre-Trade Detail is a deeper pre-sale detail for cars headed to the Cars 4 Sale Corral or any other sale. It prepares the car for buyers' inspection and does not set a price.
Paint Correction
Paint Enhancement improves gloss with very light correction. 1-Step, 2-Step and Show Correction treat heavier defects at each step up. AB assesses the finish in person before quoting. Enhancement and 1-Step are available mobile or at the studio. 2-Step and Show Correction need controlled conditions.
Complete Detail
A Complete Detail covers the vehicle inside and out: washing, chemical and mechanical decontamination, engine bay, steam and extraction, and exterior protection. AB does the work personally, at your home as mobile detailing or at our North Phoenix studio.
Ceramic Coating
Professional ceramic coating is done at our North Phoenix studio: paint preparation, coating application and a controlled cure. AB assesses your paint before quoting. Choose a 2-to-3-year coating or a 5-year coating; for a lighter, 1-year option that can be done at your home, see Express Ceramic.
Pre-Trade-In Detail
A Pre-Trade-In Detail prepares your vehicle for a sale or appraisal with deeper interior and exterior cleaning, a full three-pH wash, chemical and mechanical decontamination, engine bay care, thorough vacuuming and stain treatment. Available mobile or at our North Phoenix studio; polishing and headlight restoration are priced separately.
