Is paint correction the same as ceramic coating?

No. Paint correction improves gloss and clarity by polishing defects from the clear coat. Ceramic coating protects the finish after prep. If defects are visible, correction should be evaluated before a coating is installed.

If defects are visible, correction should be evaluated before a coating is installed.

Do I need correction before coating?

Often, yes. Ceramic coating locks in the finish underneath it, so swirls, water-spot etching, or haze should be reviewed first. Some vehicles only need light prep, while others need a correction package before protection makes sense.

Which service should I request first?

If the finish looks dull or defect-heavy, request Paint Correction review. If the paint is already healthy and you want UV, chemical, and wash protection, request Ceramic Coating and include photos so prep can be scoped honestly.
