Is appointment-only mobile detailing the same as a drive-through or subscription wash?
No. Our mobile Complete Detail is performed personally by AB and includes exterior washing, chemical and mechanical decontamination, wheels, engine bay, glass, normal interior vacuuming/steam/extraction and protection. It typically takes 1.5 to 6 hours. A drive-through or subscription wash is generally a routine exterior cleaning service, with scope varying by provider. That may meet a different need. Compare what is actually included and what you want to improve, rather than expecting every service called a wash or detail to deliver the same result.
Why do you confirm the address and working space before booking?
We confirm the details so we can arrive prepared and give you an accurate proposal. The full service address must be in our approved area, household water needs to be available, and there must be room for the vehicle, trailer and working setup. We supply power, spot-free rinse water and an awning when needed. A driveway is preferred, but suitable street parking is welcome too. We discuss space and access during follow-up without asking you to submit gate codes or initial work-area photos.
What should I expect from a mobile detailing appointment?
Expect a personal conversation about the vehicle, the work and the proposed location before booking. Initial vehicle photos are optional; AB can ask for specific views if needed. Complete Detail costs $279 for a car, $319 for midsize and $349 for full-size, with exceptional conditions assessed separately. Its normal interior work is a thorough cleaning, not a factory restoration. Mobile and studio appointments use the same service prices and care standards. We explain any additional work before you choose whether to proceed.
When should I choose the studio instead of requesting mobile?
The studio is useful when household water or working space is unavailable, or when heat or weather makes a mobile visit impractical. Professional ceramic coatings, 2-Step and Show Correction normally require the studio, with separately assessed collection-site exceptions. Paint Enhancement, 1-Step and Express Ceramic can be mobile. Studio visits are drop-off only; we share the address before arrival and ask you to arrange a ride because we have no waiting area. We will help you choose a location that works for the service and your plans.
Can drive-through washes cause paint damage?
Any wash can mar paint when grit is rubbed across the surface, including a careless hand wash. The risk rises when brushes or cloth media contact many vehicles, when pre-rinse does not remove enough grit, or when drying material is dirty. The result often appears as fine circular swirls under direct sun, especially on dark paint. Touchless washes avoid brush contact but may rely on stronger chemistry and still leave mineral-rich water or road film behind. A subscription can make frequent cleaning easy, yet frequency does not erase process risk. Owners who accept some marring for convenience may find that trade reasonable. Owners protecting corrected or coated paint usually need cleaner tools, controlled contact, and deliberate drying.
How often should I use detailing instead of a wash?
Detailing and maintenance washing solve different problems, so no single schedule fits every vehicle. Wash often enough that bird droppings, bug residue, monsoon grime, and sprinkler minerals do not remain on Phoenix paint, using a method that does not add more damage than it removes. Choose a Complete Detail when the interior and exterior both need a full cleaning, bonded contamination remains after washing, protection has weakened, or condition is difficult to assess beneath accumulated soil. After correction or coating, follow the care plan rather than waiting for the vehicle to look neglected. Mobile qualification is reviewed for each appointment because property and scope can change.
